ABSTRACT

This study presents an overview on the effect of doe weight at mating and gestation on rabbit litter performance. Weaning weight, doe weight at mating, and kindling rate are three critical factors that directly influence rabbit production and profitability. One important factor that can significantly affect productivity is the weight of the doe at mating and the weaning weight of the offspring. The weight of the doe at mating is a crucial factor in rabbit production, as it can affect the fertility and reproductive performance of the animal. In addition, a heavier doe may produce more milk, which can improve the growth and survival rate of the litter. Kindling rate, which refers to the percentage of does that give birth to live litters, is an essential factor in rabbit production.
