ABSTRACT
This research was carried out to determine the effect of lemon grass powder as feed additive on some micro mineral balance in WAD goat fed guinea grass and concentrate supplement. Fifteen West African dwarf goats were used for the study. The goats were allocated into three treatments with five replicates each in a completely randomized design. The animals were offered basal diet of 60% guinea grass and 40% concentrate supplement containing different amount of the lemongrass powder. The feeding trial lasted for 12 weeks (84 days), Initial weight of the animals were taken at the beginning of the experiment and weekly basis to determine the weight changes. Each animal was fed daily at 5g/kg live weight. Digestibility and micro mineral balance were determined.
