ABSTRACT
This research project investigates the role of family stability as a crucial factor in fostering healthy child upbringing. Drawing on a multidisciplinary approach, the study examines the impact of stable family environments on children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Through an extensive review of existing literature and empirical data, the project explores how consistent family structures, supportive parenting, and reduced household conflicts contribute to better health outcomes, academic performance, and social skills in children. By highlighting the significance of family stability, this study aims to inform policymakers and practitioners about effective strategies to support families, ultimately promoting the well-being and development of children.
Findings revealed that there is a significant difference in the academic performance of children from stable families compared to those from unstable families. It was also revealed that family stability influences a child's social skills and ability to form healthy relationships with others. Based on the findings, the study recommends that couples should avail themselves of the services of marriage counselors in the resolution of marital disputes. This would help them resolve disputes and differences amicably without threatening the stability of the home front. Marriage counselors are specially trained to deal with issues of marital disputes and they can help couples resolve disputes and differences that could otherwise lead to marital instability
