ABSTRACT
In conclusion, Cultural dances in the Benin Kingdom showcase a rich cultural legacy, encompassing various types for all ages and ceremonies. Notable examples include Esakpaide, Ugho, Agada, Ugie-Oro, Izabobo, Ohogho dance, and Igue festival dance. Ekasa N'Ogbelaka is particularly significant as it embodies Benin's history and culture. In the course of this research project, it has been observed that not much written works have been found on the different types of Benin cultural dances including the Ekasa N'Ogbelaka. It is therefore necessary that more research should be carried out on the various types of Benin cultural dances in order to have more written works on them. This would help in the preservation of the Benin cultural dances and give scholars and other people easy access to the knowledge of various cultural dances in the Benin kingdom.
