ABSTRACT

The lack of accommodation in Ekosodin has become an urgent issue, having a big influence on students' living situations and educational opportunities. This study looks into the viability of employing container homes in a dry building method as a workable and sustainable way to address the housing shortage that UNIBEN students in Ekosodin are experiencing. The study begins by acknowledging the severe shortage of affordable and suitable student housing options in Ekosodin and the subsequent negative consequences for student well-being and academic performance. Given the urgency of the situation, it is imperative to explore innovative and efficient housing solutions. The main goal of this research is to apply dry construction, which takes advantage of shipping containers' versatility as building components. With their sturdy construction and ability to endure rough use and transit, these containers provide an affordable and easily obtainable means of quickly creating livable areas. The research hopes to solve the student housing problem quickly and affordably by applying this strategy.
