ABSTRACT
This project looks into the complex ethical landscape of transgender identities, examining them through the philosophical framework of Jean-Paul Sartre's existentialism. By intertwining existentialist principles with contemporary understandings of gender identity, the study seeks to illuminate the ethical challenges faced by transgender individuals in society. Drawing on Sartre’s concepts of freedom, authenticity, and responsibility, the research explores how transgender individuals navigate societal norms, expectations, and prejudices in their quest for self-realization and acceptance. Furthermore, it examines the ethical implications of societal reactions, policies, and cultural attitudes towards transgender identities. Through an analytic approach, this study aims to foster a deeper understanding of the ethical considerations inherent in transgender experiences and contribute to ongoing conversations surrounding gender equality and human rights.
