ABSTRACT
This work is an analysis of language error of English language users using Her Excellency, Dame Patience Jonathan as a case study. This study is aimed at examining various errors made by English language users. In this investigation, the causes, nature of the errors are stated, after which the errors are evaluated as well as corrected. In thisresearch, the researcher adopted the error analysis theoretical framework in the analysis of language samples collected for this research. The findings of this research includes that the language errors evident among English language users are: grammatical, semantic, morphological, language interference, and phonological errors. This research concludes that the most common language errors among English language users is the grammatical errors as evident in the English language use by Her Excellency, Dame Patience Jonathan. The researcher in the last chapter of this work suggested possible steps to be taken in order to avoid the occurrence of language errors among English language users
