ABSTRACT
This study Employees Performance Appraisal on Organisational productivity explores the complex relationship between employee’s supervision, interpersonal skills, effective employee administrative skills, employee effort on organizational productivity within the Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Benin as a case study. The descriptive research design was utilized and Taro Yamane’s statistical formula was used to determine the sample size in this study. Furthermore, a total of one hundred and seventeen (117) questionnaires were employed to sample the respondents’ perspectives. However, only one hundred and six (106) were returned and examined. The population size composed of Academic Staff of Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Benin. The collected and validated questionnaires were analyzed using frequency table while the hypothesis was evaluated using the Pearson moment correlation matrix and Ordinary least square. The conclusion of the studies reinforces the notion that performance appraisal is not merely a routine administrative exercise; it is a powerful instrument for Organizational development. The study underscores the significance of various factors in shaping Organizational productivity within the faculty of management sciences, University of Benin. Therefore, it is recommended for Organizations and Academic Institutions, such as Faculty of Management sciences at University of Benin, to undertake a strategic overhaul of their performance appraisal systems. Also they should establish mechanisms for systematic feedback and assessment.
