A survey research design method was adopted in carrying out the research. In doing this, primary data was collected. The source of primary data was the raw fact obtained from respondents from thirteen commercial banks in Ekiti State. The thirteen banks (First Bank, keystone bank, United Bank of Africa, Ecobank, Diamond Bank, Access Bank, Zenith Bank, Heritage Bank, Union Bank, Sterling Bank, Wema Bank, Union Bank and First City Monument Bank) were selected using the convenient sampling technique. Structured questionnaire subjected to reliability test was used as the instrument in collecting the primary data. The study population was all the managerial employees of all the thirteen banks selected. 234 questionnaires were distributed as a sample of the study, only 185 questionnaires were returned. 185 returned questionnaires were therefore valid and used for data analysis which makes it 79.06% from the total distributed questionnaires. The information elicited from the respondents was analyzed with descriptive statistics and regression.
The study revealed that two out of the three variables (employees perceived usefulness of E-HRM and ease of use of E-HRM) used in determining the impact of E-HRM on employees productivity have significant and positive impact on employees productivity in the Nigerian banking sector while the other variable (employees involvement (at the development/design stage) in E-HRM does not significantly impact the productivity of employees in the Nigerian banking sector. Based on the findings, the researcher therefore recommends that Technology should be selected and implemented in a way that accelerates and enhances employees’ productivity in the Nigerian banking sector, Managers should provide a condition for training about the use of Electronic Human Resource Management (E-HRM) and also that organizations should invest in Electronic Human Resources Management (E-HRM) system, because of its importance to increase the level of employees’ productivity.
