ABSTRACT
The project, focused on electrical service design for a 3-bedroom apartment, was undertaken to establish an efficient lighting and electrical distribution system. During the lighting design phase, Lumen calculations were gotten to evaluate the required quantity of luminaires. AutoCAD was utilized to create lighting and socket plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, AutoCAD was employed to generate the schematic design of the electrical system. Dialux software was used for lighting design simulation and analysis. To ensure an equal distribution of electrical loads, three distinct distribution boards were implemented. Each board received power from specific sources to cater to designated loads. This approach not only enhances organization but also simplifies load isolation and troubleshooting in case of faults. Cable sizing strictly adhered to established standards, guaranteeing optimal performance upon implementation. The sizing of electrical equipment, machinery, and protective devices was meticulously conducted in accordance with industry norms. The project considered economic factors by incorporating energy-efficient LED lighting, resulting in reduced energy consumption and cost savings. Additionally, the load separation strategy contributed to cost reduction by minimizing the size requirements for the generator and inverter system.
