ABSTRACT
In order to characterize the subsurface lithology, a geophysical survey utilizing the Electrical Resistivity Method (ERM) and the Seismic Refraction Method (SRM) was conducted near the Center of Excellence on the University of Benin's Ugbowo campus. For lateral variation delineation (Constant Traverse Separation), the Wenner array configuration was used, and for deeper lithologic information (Vertical Electrical Sounding), the Schlumberger array configuration. Curve matching can be used to understand three geoelectric layers; the resulting curve type, the KH curve, was supported by the DiproWin and WINRES softwares. Additionally, three layers were found using the seismic refraction method, which provided insight into the subsurface layers' velocities.
