ABSTRACT

In Ekosodin, poor waste management can significantly impact residents' health in numerous ways. Improper disposal practices result in the buildup of waste in open areas and water sources, providing breeding grounds for disease-carrying vectors like mosquitoes and rodents, thereby increasing the risk of diseases such as malaria, dengue fever, and Typhoid. Additionally, the decomposition of organic waste emits noxious gases like methane and hydrogen sulfide, contributing to respiratory issues and exacerbating conditions like asthma. Contamination of water sources due to landfill leachate and untreated sewage further heightens the risk of waterborne illnesses like cholera and typhoid fever. Overall, inadequate waste management not only harms the environment but also endangers the health and well-being of Ekosodin's inhabitants.
