ABSTRACT

Steel is one of the materials that is most frequently produced to suit infrastructure needs in the building industry today, and it is often used as reinforcement for reinforced concrete. Steel is used so frequently, yet it has a number of disadvantages, including a higher cost and a negative impact on the environment. Additionally, bamboo offers properties that make it a viable alternative material for concrete construction, with fibers that are strong enough to bear the same tensile forces as steel reinforcement. The moisture content must be taken into account, as it has a significant impact on the tensile strength, among other things. In this study, we investigate how bamboo's moisture content affects its tensile strength.
