ABSTRACT
A trial was conducted at the screen house of the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Benin, Benin city. Nigeria to evaluate the effects of liquid organic fertilizer application on the growth and yield of Celosia (Celosia argentea, L). The experiment was laid out in a completely randomized design (CRD) involving five liquid organic fertilizer (control, poultry manure, Cattle manure, Rabbit Manure and swine Manure) and replicated three times. Data were collected on plant height, stem girth, numbers of leaves and leaf area at two weeks interval starting from two weeks after sowing to six weeks after Herbage yield was taken at the end of six weeks after sowing .Results showed that Liquid organic fertilizer had significant effects on the growth and herbage yield of Celosia argentea. Plants treated with poultry and swine manure had the highest herbage yield.
