ABSTRACT

Copper contamination in wastewater presents a significant obstacle to the treatment of wastewater treatment. This study aims to evaluate the effect of copper contamination on the nitrogen-removal efficiency of the activated sludge system. The methodology involved incorporating a specified mass per liter (mg/l) of Copper Sulphate Heptahydrate (CuSO4.7H2O) in two 300ml blackwater, keeping two other 300ml of the blackwater as control and incubating for 48 hours.
