ABSTRACT
This study examines digital technologies and the taxation of informal sector of Nigeria. A survey design was used to obtain information from one hundred (100) respondents (informal sector workers in Nigeria). From the results obtained, it was made visible that recent digital technologies cannot curb multiple taxation, blockchain technology has no significant relationship with taxation of Nigerian informal economy, and that mobile phones and E-taxation can improve tax collection processes in the Nigerian informal sector. Therefore, it was recommended that the Nigerian tax administrators should fully optimize the usage of E-taxation and mobile phones by incorporating these tools in tax collection processes.
