ABSTRACT
In the ever-evolving landscape of academic institutions, the efficient and reliable processing of results stands as a pivotal element in ensuring the quality and integrity of educational processes. This study delves into the evaluation of result processing methods, specifically comparing the manual approach to computerized systems, with a focus on the University of Benin's Computer Science Department. This research aims to meticulously analyze the effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability of the University's traditional manual result processing system and the computerized system known as UREPS (University Result Processing System). It entails a comprehensive examination of the advantages and disadvantages inherent in both systems, considering factors such as accuracy, speed, security, and overall convenience. Through data collection, surveys, and case studies, this study aims to provide valuable insights into the impact of result processing methodologies on academic institutions' administrative functions and student satisfaction. Furthermore, it seeks to recommend improvements and best practices based on empirical evidence, contributing to the enhancement of result processing systems in academic environments. Ultimately, this research endeavors to shed light on the critical role of result processing systems in the efficiency and reliability of educational institutions, offering practical recommendations for optimizing these processes and fostering a more effective learning environment.
