Diabetes mellitus is a global health problem in 21st century. The incidence of diabetes mellitus is in rise and is estimated to be more prevalent in coming years. Various complications are associated with diabetes mellitus. Glycosylated haemoglobin A1c is one of the reliable indicators of chronic hyperglycemia, and is included in the diagnostic criteria. Various methods are used to detect the level of HbA1c.and is being used in the management of diabetes mellitus.This research was conducted to determine the levels of glycosylated haemoglobin in hypertensive diabetic and pregnancy induced hypertensive patients using standard laboratory methods. The results of the analysis revealed that there was a significance difference in the levels of glycosylated haemoglobin in hypertensive diabetic patients and the control, furthermore a significance difference was also observed for pregnancy induced hypertensive patients and control.With respect to PIH and PIHC There was a significant average difference between PIH and PIHC values scores (t10 = 4.919, p =
0.001). With respect to HD and HDC There was a significant average difference between HD and HDC values scores (t10 = 0.572, p > 0.001).
