ABSTRACT
Orange fleshed sweet potato vine is a biofortified crop that only recent became popular due to its nutritional properties. To evaluate the ash and mineral content of the orange fleshed sweet potato vine, materials such as chloroform, weighing scale, Hexane methanol, polypropylene sack, hand gloves, separating funnel, extraction jar, stirring rod, measuring cylinder and sodium sulphoate was used. The sample was air dried and pulverized before it was worked on and it was found to contain 5.35per of Ash and it is also contains high percentage of potassium although other minerals Such as sodium calcium, magnesium, iron, Zinc, lead, copper and Nitrogen were present. This shows that it is a good source of potassium and calcium.
