SUMMARY
The produced air compressor using refrigerant cylinder and compressor was tested and it performed to it designed capacity. The study clearly showed that a portable compressor machine unit can be produced from house hold or locally sourced waste materials at lower cost compared to the expensive and complex conventional compressor. A major advantage of the produced compressor and air storageunit was the installation of pressure gauges and automatic shut of pressure switch which ensured that the machine was safely operated and shuts off on attaining its operational pressure and it re-engages to pump and supply air when the storage pressure falls below the calibrated operational pressure.
