A four-way traffic light control system with gate systems is a sophisticated traffic management system that utilizes a combination of traffic lights and gates to regulate vehicular flow at intersections. The system aims to improve traffic efficiency, reduce congestion, and enhance overall road safety. The proposed system employs a network of sensors, cameras, and controllers to monitor and manage traffic at a four-way intersection. The traffic lights are strategically positioned at each approach of the intersection and follow a predefined timing sequence to control the flow of vehicles. The gate systems, consisting of physical barriers such as retractable bollards or gates, are installed at points of the intersection to selectively allow or block vehicles based on their priority or predefined criteria. For instance, during peak traffic hours, the system can prioritize the main road traffic by extending the green signal and closing the gates to the side roads, thus minimizing delays and optimizing traffic flow.
