CULTURAL DIPLOMACY AND NIGERIA’S FOREIGN POLICY

ABSTRACT

Cultural Diplomacy means different things to different people. However, this has not eroded its general idea which is to influence state relations through persuasive means and for Nigeria a tool in the achievement of her National interests. This work has made efforts to examine issues of cultural diplomacy that have been discussed in previous chapters. The first chapter begins with analysis from different works that have contributed to the study of Cultural Diplomacy. The work sought to discuss important concepts that are fundamental to this work while also analyzing ways that Nigeria has employed Cultural Diplomacy in her national interests and foreign policy objectives using the FESTAC example.
