ABSTRACT
This research examined consumers' response to sustainable food packaging among undergraduate students in University of Benin, Nigeria. The focus of the study was to examine student's perception to sustainable food packaging and its effects on the environment. The study also evaluated whether consumers could differentiate between sustainable packages and unsustainable packages and to examine how often food packages carry useful information about their sustainability. The research design adopted for this study was a descriptive research design. The population included only eligible undergraduate students of the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Benin. The population size for this study was estimated to be 700 students while the sample size was 300 respondents. The study made use of questionnaire and personal observation as the survey method. 300 structured questionnaires were administered to the undergraduate students of the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Benin, Benin City.
