ABSTRACT
The extraction of essential oils from plants has gained significant attention due to their diverse applications in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and aromatherapy. This project focuses on the comparative analysis of essential oil extraction from the Avocado plant (Persea americana). The objective is to evaluate different extraction methods, assess the quality and quantity of essential oils obtained from the Avocado plant leaves, the roots, the avocado fruit peel and the seeds, and compare the efficiency of these methods. This elaborate background sets the stage for holistic exploration into the extraction of essential oil from the Avocado plant, with steam distillation as the focal point. The narrative spans centuries, encompassing the cultural significance of the Avocado, the evolution of steam distillation as an extraction method, and the contemporary implications of this research on industries seeking natural and sustainable alternatives.
