ABSTRACT
One can reasonably conclude that the present problem of deforestation can be solved through the introduction of improved Agricultural techniques, Agroforestry combining forest with crops or livestock production and provision of right incentives by the government.
In live with this, the Nigeria government has realized that over exploited area need to be vigorously reforested and the government has equally shown the willingness to check wanton deforestation through legislation and environmental education of the populace. So, the Nigeria government and its three tiers of government have stepped up their financial commitment towards checking spate of deforestation and a resounding increase n afforestation scheme.
