ABSTRACT
The study focused on analysing the challenges media houses in Benin City faced during the EndSARS protest; a case study of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS) and Independent Television (ITV). It is aimed at determining the level of coverage of the media houses on the EndSARS as well as the challenges they faced in their coverage of the protest and also to determine how they were able to manage the challenges that resulted in their coverage of the protest. The survey research method was used to gather the data used for the study. This work made use of interview method. Findings from the study revealed that though there were risks of attacks involved in covering the protest, the media personnels took the risk, just to perform their major responsibility to the society. The researcher therefore concluded that the challenges faced by the media where attacks on them by the people, which resulted from mistrust of the media by the people. The study also recommended that the media should re-gain the trust and reliability of the people through creating awareness campaign.
