SUMMARY

This work analyses the effects of the Bureau de change in the Nigerian economy, through a succinct appraisal proceeding from an understanding of how the economy functions, as well as current economic realities, via a historical economic prism. It looks at what the Bureau de change is as an economic subsector in Nigeria as well as an organization, their evolution, development and how the activities and otherwise of this group has, and can affect the economy of Nigeria and subsequently, national development of the country.
