ABSTRACT

This essay explores the intersection of Afro-futurism and Black Identity, envisioning alternate futures and presenting multifaceted expressions of blackness. This study adopts the qualitative research method and also the theory of Afro-futurism and African-futurism which celebrate and reimagine the experiences of Black individuals and African cultures within futuristic contexts. This essay examines how Children of Blood and Bone and Black Panther engage with Afro-futurism to reimagine Black future while emphasising the 9 significance of Identity, heritage, and empowerment. Through these narratives, the writer invites readers and viewers to envision a world where black individuals will transcend historical limitations, shape their destinies, and assert their rightful place. This analysis therefore describes that black future and identity play a vital role in the life of Africans.
