ABSTRACT
Most of the special functions of mathematical physics are solution of certain frequently occurring linear second order differential equations. For instance, in the problem associated with the vibrations of the cylindrical membranes, Bessel's function of order zero is used to determine the eigen value and eigen vector of the curve. Other similar problems are those of water waves cannals oscillating ropes, loudspeaker in horns acoustics and telecommunication, electrical transmission lies,etc Equation formed from these problems are transformed to that of Bessel equation and hence the general solution written down.
