ABSTRACT

Avocado is a tree that is naturally predominant in Nigeria especially in the southern parts most farmers sell the fruit as a source of income but a majority of the fruits are wasted due to spoilage. The use of mechanical design methods to design a machine that can readily extract avocado oil and keep it for sales helps to prevent wastage and create an added source of income for farmers.

The axiomatic design methods employs the use of customer requirements to adequately transform those needs into a functional design while maintaining the independence of the product design the chosen design concept is then further detailed using a computer aided diagram.
