ABSTRACT
The study was carried out to ascertain the availability and utilization of ICT facilities in ovia south west. Two (2) research question guided the conduct of research work.
A descriptive survey method was used for this study. The population of the study comprised of 3 principals,3 vice principals,9 business studies teachers and 300 students in ovia south west selected through simple random sampling techniques to represent the entire population of ovia south west Local Government, Edo state. A structured questionaire which was validated by three lecturers in the Department of Vocational and Technical Education in University of Benin was used for data collection. The researcher administered 186 copies of questionaire to Staffs and students in the selected schools in Ovia South West.
Based on the research conducted it was concluded that there is a gap between the availability of ICT infrastructure and its effective utilization in teaching Business Studies in Ovia South West Local Government Area. It was recommended that there is a need for increased funding and investment in ICT infrastructure in schools to ensure that adequate facilities are available for teaching Business Studies effectively.
