AVAILABILITY AND INTEGRATION OF DIGITAL LIBRARY IN TEACHING AND LEARNING ON BUSINESS EDUCATION PROGRAMME

ABSTRACT

The study examined the availability and integration of digital library in teaching and learning on business education programme in public universities in Edo state. six research questions were raised and answered. The study was a descriptive survey research design. The population of the study consisted of two hundred and nineteen (219) 300 and 400 level business education students in University of Benin of Edo State with a sample size of two hundred and nineteen (219) 300 and 400 level business education students,Therefore there will be no sampling technique, The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire and a checklist developed by the researcher titled Availability of Digital Library in Teaching and Learning of Business Education Programme (ADLTLBEP) The findings include The integration of digital library influences the teaching and learning of business education programme in public universities in Edo State to a high extent.The integration of google class room influence the teaching and learning of Business Education programme in public universities in Edo State to a high extent.The integration of digital documents influences the teaching and learning of business education programme in public universities in Edo state to a high extent. The following recommendations were made.Government should ensure that every institution teaching business education establish a good library so as to foster effective teaching and learning of business education programme.Public universities in Edo State should invest in upgrading their digital library infrastructure, including internet bandwidth, access points, and computer terminals, to ensure seamless access to digital resources for students and faculty.There should be efforts to diversify the google classroom content to encompass a wide range of business education resources, including e-books, academic journals, case studies, and multimedia materials, to cater to the diverse learning needs of students and faculty.Public universities should provide training sessions and ongoing support to students and faculty on how to effectively navigate and utilize digital document resources for teaching, learning, and research purposes.
