ABSTRACT

This research study investigates receptive language disorder among individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The study aims to investigate how receptive language disorder manifest in individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, the relationship with receptive language disorder and autism spectrum disorder and the barriers that hinder early diagnosis or treatment of receptive language disorder among individuals. From the data analysis in the research carried out, some factors were identified as how receptive language disorder manifest in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Those factors include low self esteem in socialization and literal interpretation of words. The research study also find that difficulty in taking instructions, difficulty in effective communication and low Actively participation in activities are some of the relationship between receptive language deficits and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Public program, government medical aids and teaching of the ASD as a topic were some of the strategies employed and has been effective in treatment of ASD as they create public awareness and develop sense of belonging among individuals with ASD.
