ABSTRACT

This research was carried out by the researcher to inquire into the attitudes and perceptions of students towards a healthy school environment. This is in order to ensure a conducive learning environment among the secondary school students of Egor local government area.

The study adopted the survey research design. The study population involved 100 students that was drawn using simple random sampling technique form a total of four secondary schools in Egor local government area. The findings of the study revealed that the secondary schools in Egor local government have made significant effort in providing a healthful school environment that fosters proper learning conditions for students. It is observed that secondary school students in Egor local government area generally have a positive attitude towards healthful school environment, there are various challenges faced by secondary school students in Egor local government area in adopting healthy habits, and the healthful school environment can be improved on. More so, the study provides relevant materials for students and other researchers undertaking similar research performance.
