CONCLUSION

This study had revealed that the death of Edo Language is not imminent as being feared by many scholars. The mother tongue will continue to be used by the people in their communication and interaction with others especially in informal settings. And also the NPE is a spreading language, and the growth of this language is very fast in Edo, Benin city.
