ABSTRACT
This study to Assessment 0f the Factors Influencing Child Trafficking in Generation “Z” of the 21ST Century in Benin Metropolis The data from their responses were analyzed with the use of simple percentage.
The researcher made effort in examining the level of students’ knowledge on human trafficking, to know the attitude of students’ towards human trafficking, to examine the relationship between students’ knowledge of, and attitude towards human trafficking, understanding the forms of human trafficking, to investigate factors encouraging human trafficking among secondary school students, to determine the effect of human trafficking on secondary school students’ academic performance and to proffer solution to the possible strategies that can help in combating human trafficking among secondary school students. All of which have been discussed in details under the review of literature.
It is therefore recommended that School Administrators and Teachers should organize regular awareness campaigns, workshops, and seminars on human trafficking, involving experts and survivors, to enhance students' understanding, Law Enforcement Agencies should conduct outreach programs in schools to educate students about the role of law enforcement in combating human trafficking and the importance of reporting suspicious activities, Government should allocate resources to support anti-trafficking initiatives in secondary schools, including funding for educational materials, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
