ABSTRACT

Lighting is an essential component of a home's quality. In addition to being crucial for safety and visual performance, light is essential for controlling human physiological processes. This research seeks to summarize the body of information on the connection between lighting and architecture and suggests areas for further study. Extracted information was qualitatively combined based on the illumination type (natural light and artificial light). The overall look, feel, and functionality of an architectural space are greatly influenced by the lighting. It can be utilized to emphasize important features in an area as well as to set the mood and ambiance. Architects today have more options than ever when it comes to incorporating lighting into their designs due to recent technological advancements. In order to better understand how lighting may be used to improve both utility and aesthetics, this research will examine lighting's role in architectural design in greater detail. It’ll also go over how crucial it is to take sustainability and energy efficiency into account when choosing lighting solutions for a project.
