The findings revealed that caregivers in Benin City often carry out their task effectively but in most cases tend to experience common challenges including non availability of portable running water, lack of sanitation facilities, no good access to hygiene related resources, no free hands from school operators. It was recommended that Government and school proprietors should ensure the availability of care and hygiene facilities in pre-schools settings, Good access to hygiene related resources should be encouraged and provided by school owners, in addition, School operators should endeavor to give caregivers free hands to be able to carry out their duties effectively.
