ASSESSMENT OF BIOLOGY STUDENT'S PERFORMANCE IN THE CONCEPT OF OSMOSIS AND DIFFUSION

ABSTRACT

This study assessed the performance of secondary school students in the concept of Osmosis and Diffusion in schools located in Ovia North East Local Government Area. The research design used to conduct this study is a survey design. The researcher worked with a total number of 26 students which constituted the sample of the study. The instrument used was a test slip to know the academic performance of students taught osmosis and diffusion. Findings from this study revealed that the average performance was 9.2 representing 92%. This shows that the overall performance was high in the test on Osmosis and Diffusion, eight (8) students representing (30.8%) performed highly in the test while 18 students had low scores and females had a higher performance than males.
