ASSESSING PROCUREMENT AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT PRACTICES ON ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE

ABSTRACT

The study focused at investigating procurement and inventory management practices on the organizational performance. The specific objectives of this study is to examine if procurement planning influence organizational performance, investigate if inventory management practice have effect on organizational performance, fin out the extent to which inventory control affects productivity of an organization, evaluate the impact of procurement function and management on organization’s performance For the purpose of this study, the survey method is adopted with the use of questionnaire instrument designed to elicit the effect of procurement and inventory on organization performance. One hundred (100) copies of questionnaire will be administered. Two statistical tools of data analysis shall be deployed in the analysis of data derived from the field. They are the simple percentage and the Anova. The simple percentage which is a descriptive tool for statistics will be used for initial analysis, while the multiple linear regression tool will be employed in testing the hypotheses generated from the survey. The Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS 21) will be used to analyze data gotten from the field. The finding of this study reviewed that Procurement planning does not influence organization performance. and we reject the null hypothesis, inventory management practice have effect on organizational performance, Procurement function and management have impact on organizational performance
