ABSTRACT
This study focuses on the Aspects of the Phonology of Obior Dialect of Igbo. This work identifies the various phonological processes found in the dialect. This work adopted the autosegmental theoretical framework. Two participants were used in this research. A qualitative framework was employed in order to get detailed information on this work. The primary and secondary methods of data collection were employed for this work. In this study, it was also detected that most persons in the speech community do not speak their language, this added to the motive for the proper documentation of the aspects of phonology found in this dialect. Proper analysis was given to the adequate attention data gathered. The investigations carried out for this purpose is to ensure proper awareness, proper documentation and proper recognition of the dialect. It further explains ways in which other dialects in Igbo need to be documented. The findings of the study are critically discussed in lieu of further research.
