ABSTRACT
Pressure buildup test is one of the main pressure transient analyses that offers so many parameters that help for reservoir optimization, characterization, and material balance calculations. One of the main objectives of pressure buildup is to determine the average reservoir pressure in the drainage area. This project investigates the different parameters that could affect the production of fluid from an oil well P1 from a given buildup test data from Egbema field found in Delta state, Nigeria using kappa Ecrin Sapphir software. The parameters investigated are reservoir pressure, skin, permeability, wellbore storage. From the analysis conducted and results gotten, it was found that the well was damaged (which might have been due to wellbore fluids used for drilling, completion and workover operations) which was seen from the positive skin value. It was then concluded that to effectively produce from this well, the respective treatment has to be done.
