ABSTRACT
The study findings have shown some important aspects of banditry in Zamfara State and North-western Nigeria. These findings highlight the complicated and far-reaching effects of banditry and the different techniques and remedies used by impacted communities and authorities. The research proves that banditry has harmed several aspects of Zamfara State life. Banditry has serious consequences for personal security, the economy, lives lost, communities displaced, and a pervasive sense of instability and terror. Responding to banditry in North-western Nigeria requires multiple strategies. A variety of strategies and projects are highlighted in the study. These include government-led operations, Nigerian military involvement, community-based collaborations, international backing, and surveillance and intelligence mechanisms. These multifaceted reactions demonstrate the 41 banditry issue's seriousness and the need for a comprehensive strategy. The survey results necessitate specific banditry-fighting solutions. Banditry reduction techniques including improving education and employment have received great support from respondents. Addressing poverty and inequality and believing in a comprehensive disarmament program have earned.
