ABSTRACT

The Giant African Land Snail (Achatina spp.) has gained attention as a potential source of sustainable protein and economic value in recent years. This project investigates the management and performance of these gastropods in an enclosed free-range system. The study aims to optimize the husbandry practices for Giant African Land Snails, with a focus on growth and overall productivity. Key aspects of the research include habitat design and environmental conditions. Data collection involves monitoring growth rates and welfare of the snails over a period of five weeks.
