ABSTRACT

This study examines the relationship between work-life balance (WLB) and job satisfaction among employees in the Nigerian banking sector, focusing on key WLB factors such as flexible work arrangements (FWAs), leave policies (LPO), role balance (ROB), and wellness programs (WLP). Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 200 employees through structured questionnaires. The study employed descriptive statistics (frequency, mean, and percentage) and inferential statistics (regression analysis) to assess the impact of WLB factors on job satisfaction. The findings reveal that FWAs and WLP significantly enhance job satisfaction, while LPO and ROB do not have a significant effect. Based on these findings, the study recommends that Nigerian banks expand flexible work options, improve the implementation of leave policies, adopt workload management strategies, and invest in wellness programs to enhance employee well-being and productivity. These insights provide valuable guidance for HR professionals and policymakers in designing effective work-life balance initiatives that foster a more satisfied and engaged workforce.
