ABSTRACT

Conversation between participants does not only serve literal communicationpurpose but also serves as a pragmatic leverage through which certain action is performed and emotion is transferred between participants. Participants in discourse exchange beyond expression of information as the speechforce in their utterances in certain conversation contexts capably prompts a listener into certain emotional or psychological state which is derivative of the force of action in the utterance of the speaker. This and other utterance implicatures and related concepts are examined in this study.
