A MORPHO-SEMANTIC ANALYSIS OF ENUANI PERSONAL NAMES

ABSTRACT
This Research effort focuses on Morpho-Semantics analysis of Enuani personal names both in time past and in contemporary times. This work aims at examining the Enuani names that can be serving times as a resource material for the study of Enuani names. Data gathered for this study were collected from personal interviews granted the researcher by indigenous Enuani people which was documented the aid of digital tape recorder. The analysis of this work employs the descriptive theory as propounded by Dryer (1996).
The major findings of this work however, show that, names reveal
people’s hope, expectations, fears and anxieties. The study also
reveals that a reliable result oriented linguistics study can be carried out on Enuani personal names.
