This project examined the numeral system of Edo. Edo language used is located in Benin and spoken natively throughout the seven local government area in Edo state. However, the aim of this study was to determine the numerals using aspects of linguistics which are phonology, morphology, and semantics. The method of collected is divided into two sources primary and secondary. The primary source of data was gotten from interviews section while the secondary data were collected from textbook, journal, internet with the aid of a native speaker and my knowledge as a linguist which is crucial for the analysis of Edo numeral system our aim was achieved. The theoretical framework that was adopted is the Basic Linguistic theory which is a descriptive theory which aim to describe and explain the common properties and the structural diversity of the world’s languages. Data presentation and discussion provided the basis for the presentation of the finding and conclusion which included the obvious truth that every language is ruled and governed, and that Edo numerals also require some arithmetic in a way that stimulates our intelligence. At the end of it all the aim and purpose has been achieved hoping that the detailed analysis given in this work will not only fill a gap in the study of Edo language in particular but also to the explanation of Edo numeral system, and that the work will not only be for the linguistic documentation for the study of the language alone but for the record keeping of its norms and values of the language
