Summary
This research work has been able to pay detailed attention on western education in Isokoland since 1974. It examined firstly, the historical background of the people, taking a deep survey of the geography of the people, the Isoko region is a forest belt region located in the south east of Delta state. The Niger River, its creeks and tributaries, profoundly affect the geography of the country and the lives of its inhabitants.1 there is no doubt that the lives, culture, and occupation of the Isoko people is coloured by the geographical situation. It is often said that in order to understand a people, you must first understand their roots, this work did not fail to do that as there was further analysis on the origin of the people. In all, five migrations appear to have formed the Isoko tribe.2 the work paid keen attention to the Erowah tribe, the clans with the Benin origin, the clans with the Ibo origin as well as other clans. Furthermore, it looked at the climatic condition of the people which is marked by two seasons; the Rainy and dry season. It paid attention to their soil as well as their vegetation.
