A DEFENSE OF MARXISM AS A HUMANISM

SUMMARY

The study on a defense of Marxism as a humanism firstly affirms that in fact Marxism is humanism. We cannot discuss humanism without Marxism. The defense of this study is deeply rooted in the works of Karl mMarx; the founder of the theory ‘Marxism’ Humanism dealing with human values and Marxism uphold these values Marx was a humanist and in fact he was the first to present Marxist as a humanist philosophy. My research work also showed how karl marx often used “human valued” in his theory of Marxism.

This topic has brought me to a conclusion that Marxism is a humanism because it is an investigation into what human nature consist of and what sort of society would be most conducive to human thriving from a prespective deeply rooted in Marxist philosophy.

Another valid point is that Marxist humanism re-affirms the doctrine of “man is the measure of all thimgs “ – humans are essentially different to the rest of the natural order and should be treated as such.

With all the above points concluded in this research work, we can strongly defend that Marxism is a humanism.
